The Arc Gateway PALS Education and Inclusion Coordinator facilitates student learning through curriculum development, classroom engagement, and peer mentor activities. Student learning takes place in a variety of settings including the college campus and places in the community.
Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in learning career and life skills. Work with PALS staff to help identify career goals and pathways for success as well as individual student needs for personalized instruction. Provide support to PALS students both in the educational setting and, on occasion, on the job.
Design, execute and maintain a comprehensive marketing, public relations and branding strategy for The Arc Gateway, Inc.
The Arc Gateway Learning Academy at Pollak Training Center (PTC) is a Life Skills Development III day training program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program consists of separate components that focus on life skills, workplace readiness, community inclusion along with arts and recreation. The Learning Academy Program Assistant will instruct program participants in one or more of these areas using a specified curriculum to ensure they receive meaningful and appropriate services that promote autonomy.
Responsible for effectively promoting, cultivating and maintaining local business relationships for the purpose of successfully matching PALS students with internship opportunities and competitive employment placements.
To provide developmental instruction services for children who are exhibiting developmental delays or who are at risk for delays due to an established condition, and promote the optimal development potential for each child.
Responsible for direct care and supervision of persons served with intellectual/developmental disabilities while facilitating their participation in daily valued routines of their community.
To maintain public restrooms and grounds in a clean and sanitary condition.
Responsible for direct care and supervision of seniors with intellectual/developmental disabilities while facilitating their participation in daily valued routines of their community. Responsible for continuation of daily routing during regular staff absence.

Ensure the health, safety and welfare of the residents through supervision of activities, assistance with personal goals and fulfilling the group home routine (i.e. meal preparation, daily chores, etc.).
Assist in campus and community inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. MATES play an integral part in helping PALS students achieve their academic, personal, social, and lifelong goals. MATES may partner with PALS students in one or more of the following areas: Campus Clubs, Events, Exercise, Lunch, On the Job Training (Internships), Planning, and Studying.
