Pollak Training Center
The Pollak Training Center (PTC) provides services that focus on helping adults with developmental disabilities reach their full potential, whether it is in the community or the classroom.
PTC offers:
• Low participant-to-staff ratios to fulfill the needs of adults with disabilities
• Job-skill training through sub-contract work opportunities and a horticulture program
• Community inclusion and leisure activities, basic education classes, computer enhanced learning and self-help training
Work Floor
The work floor provides adaptive skills training for people with developmental disabilities and valuable support for local businesses. The people we serve also earn a paycheck. The work floor handles contracts that involve sorting, mailing, labeling, light assembly work and more.
Adult Enrichment Program

This program focuses on learning basic social skills and studying topics that help participants interact independently in the community. This fun-filled adult day training program provides a safe, educational environment that encourages friendships, laughter and learning. In addition to visual art, participants receive instruction on self care, they play in a rhythm band, and they become physically active through exercise, yoga and dance.
Basic Education
In partnership with Pensacola Junior College and Escambia County Schools, instructors offer courses ranging from daily living skills to reading and math. Computer assisted learning opportunities are also available through this program. These courses are available to participants with jobs on the work floor and individuals in the the Adult Enrichment programs.
ARC Gateway Art Program

The ARC Art Program is part of the Adult Enrichment Program. The program gives people with developmental disabilities a chance to create art by learning ceramics and painting.
Local artists often visit the art program to help participants learn new techniques. Currently, the Art Program has teachers who instruct participants in artwork such as jewelry making, painting, watercolor and acrylics. The people we serve in this program also have opportunities to sell their artwork at six local art shows and festivals, including the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival. As many as 20 clients sell their work at these festivals.
Recently, the Adult Enrichment Artists have also begun selling their artwork in the gift shop at the Gulfarium. Artwork can also be purchased at the Adult Enrichment Gallery in the Pollak Training Center from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. The gallery becomes a Christmas Gift Shop after Thanksgiving.
